Human Nature vs. Nature

SIMPLY by virtue of calling something a “building”, we ascribe a verbal property to it that suggests it was created. This creation is not a natural one, yet its very existence acts like a fingerprint, informing those who examine it about who was here.

A building can tell us so many things about climate and culture with respect to the context of its creation.

Made by humans, for humans, buildings fulfill an infrastructural need for a specific group of people within a micro culture and climate. These places of shelter and productivity are a natural extension of our achievements, desires, daily routines and habits.

So what makes a building any less natural than an ants nest?

What is it that makes human architecture feel less natural than nature when our development is a result of nature itself?
